Lessons and Charges

I offer individual lessons in brass, piano, and music theory. I charge $35 per half-hour lesson, and I teach from my house in Stoke.

I also teach through NCMA. If you wish to meet at the NCMA building, they have an additional $20 a year charge to enrol

Lessons will be held weekly during the school term. Lessons that fall on public holidays or long weekends will be rearranged for a mutually agreed alternative time.

If I am sick or unable to attend a lesson for any reason, or a venue is unavailable, an alternative lesson time will be arranged. If this is not possible the lesson will be credited to the following term, or refunded should you decide not to continue.

If you are sick, or otherwise unable to attend a lesson, please let me know with as much notice as possible. I will attempt to reschedule your lesson. With COVID around I am happy to be flexible in terms of rescheduling, rather than holding lessons when you are not well.

Students are responsible for arriving on time. Late arrivals might not be made up on the day as I often have other students or commitments immediately around lesson times, but if possible an extended lesson in a subsequent week may be agreed to.

Please note that tuition payments are non-refundable. An exception may be made for prolonged illness or extreme circumstances (i.e. extraordinary family situations) on an individual basis. Payment for each invoice is due by the end of week three of the school term in which it was sent, at which point there will be a written reminder, and if payment is not made by the end of week six a late fee may be added to compensate for my time in following this up. Payments are to be made through internet banking or cash.

You are responsible for paying for any music books or equipment required.
